Visualisation seems to be at the core of most manifestation advice. You have to clearly see what you’re creating, view it like you’re an actor in a movie your mind creates. Which is great, but what if you don’t have a mental cinema screen to watch your manifestations play out on? What if you don’t see anything?
For years, I felt like aphatasia was a blocker to manifestation for me. I could script and act as if all I wanted, but I could never do what all the authorities told me to do - I could never picture the future no matter how hard I tried.
Finally, I came to understand what the power of visualisation really is - we visualise what we want so that we can feel how it feels to be in that reality. Feeling and seeing can overlap, but they’re not the same thing. We can see without feeling, and feel without seeing.
So if what we really need is the feeling, trying to force visualisation is counter productive! I love to write down my dream situation in great detail, and then, reading back over it, really imagine how I would feel in that situation. I remember times that filled me with great joy or excitement, and bring up those fantastic feelings, then move in to thinking about what I want to manifest.
